Tippy’s – 242-332-3331
This is the newest on the island and is our favorite. It is on the beach located on Banks Road between Palmetto Point and Governor’s Harbor. The bar is a popular hangout in the evening for residents and visitors. Cash Only.

Mate and Jenny’s – 242-332-1504
This is a frequent spot for Double Bay home owners and renters. It’s in Palmetto Point on Church Street west off Queen’s Highway. Their pizza is good, MC/VISA/Cash.

Sunset Inn
The Sunset is just south of Governor’s Harbor on Queen’s Highway and serves simple Bahamian dishes. Try the grouper or conch fingers. It has a beautiful patio right on the Caribbean and is a lovely spot for sunsets.

Coco di Mama’s – 242-332-3150
Look for the row of two story brightly painted houses on the beach just south of the airport off Queen’s Highway. It’s a small Italian owned “B & B” and serves great pasta and good wine.

Bertha’s GoGo Ribs 242-334-4130
This take-away joint is on the left in the middle of Tarpum Bay, on the Queen’s Highway just after it makes a left and goes up the hill. Call ahead just to make sure they are open. Everything is great, but the ribs are out of this world. Bring home a few slabs for dinner- messy but delicious.
